ProPollSoil doi:10.3030/101219108 “Understanding and managing soil health impacts to protect soil-dependent pollinators” aims to enhance our understanding of the relationship between soil health and soil-dependent pollinators, which spend part of their life cycle in or on soil and play vital roles in ecosystems and agriculture, providing services like pollination, decomposition and nutrient cycling. ProPollSoil is funded as part of Mission Soil, the “soil deal for Europe” through the call for proposal “Soil health, pollinators and key ecosystem functions” HORIZON-MISS-2024-SOIL-01-05 .
ProPollSoil aims to reuse outcomes of existing initatives such as BUTTERFLY’s European Atlas of Plant Pollinator Associations EuroAPPA.
ProPollSoil is structured in many work packages with specific goals. These include: Work Package (WP) 1 - Project and Data Management and WP 2 - Consolidating existing knowledge on biology, ecology and threats for soil dependent pollinators
WP2 meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 2pm Central European Time meeting notes.
